Photo tip – The rule of thirds

The rule of thirds is a classic composition technique. Imagine dividing your frame into nine equal parts with two vertical and two horizontal lines. Place the most important elements—your subject, a striking detail, or several points of interest—on the intersections or along those lines.
Doing so adds depth, creates a more balanced image, and injects energy compared to centring everything. Take a look at the image above: the person is placed along one of the vertical lines, which instantly makes the photo more dynamic.
Combine the rule of thirds with a solid editing workflow and you can craft eye-catching visuals for your website and social channels. 😉📸
